Washington Square Tree Lighting And Caroling Dates Announced - December 8th And 24th

For the 97th year, The Washington Square Association invites you to attend:

HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY

Wednesday, December 8th, 6pm at the Washington Square Arch

The Washington Square Association is excited to announce that we are returning to the Arch this year for our wonderful tree lighting and we invite you to join us. We will sing carols and are lucky again to have The Rob Sussman Brass Quartet provide the music and Linseigh Green lead us through the Songbook of Carols, which we will happily distribute.

Please also join us for:

CHRISTMAS EVE CAROL SINGING

Friday, December 24th, 5pm at the Washington Square Arch

Christmas Eve, at 5 pm is the traditional time to celebrate the holiday with carols at the Washington Square Arch. “Peace on Earth, Good Will to Men” will ring out to remind us all of the true meaning of the holidays as we celebrate virtually from our homes.

We need your help to pay for the tree, the lights, and the musicians!

Expenses for these traditions are increasing and always exceed donations - your generosity can help the Association in sponsoring these highlights of the season. Please donate or become a member to support all the work we do. We are an organization of unpaid volunteers and rely on the support of our local communities.

We thank you in advance for helping to make this holiday season a joyous one in the community. We hope you will gather with us to celebrate the holidays and please feel free to invite friends!

Kind regards,

Trevor Sumner, President

P.S. We hope you will join us in the coming year for our other free programs including the Washington Square Chess Exhibition, the Contemporary Arts Lecture Series, and the 64th season of the Washington Square Music Festival!
